CON-FLICT, noun, ˈkänˌflikt/
- a serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one.
- be incompatible or at variance; clash.
The text for this short message is not an optional one. This is as much a command as “Thou shalt not Murder” God certainly expects us to understand and fulfill the very essence of it.
Conflict affects everyone. One simply cannot go through life without conflict. Yet very few people look for or even hope for conflict. Most of us have tried all sorts of way to avoid conflict.
There are basically 4 common ways most of us employ. Some will Gossip about others and use their best political skills to destroy the other person.
Others will employ the old standby of the silent treatment. Rendering the other person powerless to correct the matter.
Still others will become angry and begin to yell and act out. These are the “control freaks” who attempt to control the matter rather than to resolve it.
Finally, there is the passive-aggressive shamming of the person. These efforts attempt to shame the person for real or perceived concerns. The problems can’t be resolved as there is no recourse to “off the cuff” remarks
These violate two guiding principles from Gods word. Read the scripture look them up and consider. Matthew 22:37-39, Matthew 5:16
