I want to talk with you about something every single one of us will face — death. It comes to the very old, the very young, and everyone in between. As much as we might want to go on living, the truth is, one day I will die… and so will you. That’s not meant to scare you — it’s meant to make you think. What happens when we die? Does life after death exist? And if so, what kind of life will it be?

Jesus Himself said that most people are on the road to destruction, and only a few will find life. That makes me ask — am I one of the few, or one of the many? And it makes me wonder — am I truly saved, or am I just assuming I am?

Calling on the name of Jesus isn’t enough. In Matthew 7:21, He said I must do the will of the Father to enter heaven. That means I have to ask myself: Have I really done God’s will? If I died today and stood before Jesus, would He welcome me or turn me away?

The good news is, I don’t have to live in doubt. Jesus said the truth will set me free — free from sin, free from fear, and free from false religion. Truth is not whatever I want it to be; it is real, it exists, and I can know it. But that truth isn’t found in my feelings or in the traditions of men — it’s found in the words of Jesus, in the Bible.

Sin can enslave me — whether it’s greed, lust, addiction, bitterness, prejudice, or even man-made religious rules God never gave. But God’s truth can break those chains. It can purify my soul and give me confidence about my eternal destiny.

One day, I will stand before God in judgment. I will be judged according to truth — not sincerity, not tradition, not good intentions. Even Paul, before obeying the gospel, was religious and sincere, yet sincerely wrong. That makes me ask: Have I tested my beliefs against Scripture, or have I just assumed they’re right?

Friend, I’m inviting you to join me in this search for truth. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Open the Bible, read the words of Jesus, and let the truth set you free — because your eternity depends on it.

Truth is a most precious thing.

In our world, everyone is searching for something. If you are searching for answers to questions regarding God, Jesus, hope, happiness, faith, life after death, good and evil, the church, the Bible, God’s plan for you, or Jesus’ love for you, the answers to these can be found in this series of programs.

Did you know that on average, 107 people die every minute? That’s a staggering number. As much as we might like to go on living, all of us will face death. But what happens to us when we die? Does life after death exist? If so, what kind of life? Does heaven exist? Does hell exist? And if so, what will happen to you when you die? More importantly, will it matter what you believed or how you lived in this life?
