In today’s world, there are many differing viewpoints about baptism. Some say babies should be baptized, while others say it is reserved for adults. Some believe that baptism is necessary for salvation, while others do not. What is the truth about baptism? Have you ever wondered about whether you need to be baptized? And, if you have been baptized, was your baptism for the right reason as described in the Bible?
I come to you with a question that I don’t want you to ignore: Are you truly saved? I ask you to examine your life honestly, because this is not a small matter—it is your soul. I want you to think deeply about what you have been taught, what you have believed, and whether it truly aligns with the Word of God.
I show you that baptism is not confusion, not tradition, and not something to be taken lightly. I teach you that baptism, as revealed in Scripture, is an immersion—a burial in water that reflects the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I make it clear that this is not about sprinkling or pouring, but about being fully united with Him in that act of obedience.
I want you to understand why this matters. Baptism is not just a symbol—it is the moment where you meet the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood. It is where your sins are washed away, where you move from death into life, where you are raised to walk in newness of life. I remind you that it is not the water alone that saves, but your faithful obedience to God’s command that brings you into contact with His grace.
I call you to see the pattern clearly. I tell you that before baptism comes hearing the Word, believing in Jesus, repenting of your sins, and confessing His name. This is not something done without understanding—it is a conscious, faithful response to the truth. That is why I tell you plainly: this is for the one who believes, not for the one who cannot yet understand.
And now I turn it back to you. I ask you: have you followed this pattern? Were you baptized in the way the Bible teaches, for the reason the Bible gives? Or were you following something taught by men rather than commanded by God? I urge you not to brush this aside, because sincerity alone does not save—truth does.
I plead with you to respond. I tell you that now is the time—not later, not someday. I remind you that tomorrow is not promised. If you know the truth, then I ask you, what will you do with it? Will you obey it, or will you delay?
I want you to know the peace that comes from obedience. I want you to be certain of your salvation, to stand clean before God, to live as part of His family. That certainty is available to you—but only if you are willing to follow His will.
So I leave you with this call: believe the truth, obey the gospel, and be made new. Your eternal destiny rests in how you respond.
