Nobody likes to fail, but fact is we probably fail more than we succeed. Failure seems to be common among mankind and is indeed just as common among the people of God.

We have seen numerous failures in the life of the Israelites in our study of Exodus. But now we have come to the Victory book of the Bible. This is the book where God’s people are to take the Promised Land. All starts out like God has promised. The defeat of Og and Shion west of the Jordan. The glorious crossing of the Jordan, and the celebration of Passover at Gilgal. The great fall of the mighty city of Jericho with its walls and might men.

The stage is set for drive out the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Hivites and the Perizzites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Jebusites:

But wait Achan sins and Israel has failed God again. Add to that there failure to consult God for the battle plan for the small walled city of AI.

Yes God’s people fail time and time again. But failure does not define us for Jesus the Christ the son of God had made us winners. Come with us as we see what happens when we fail.
