“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” This opening verse of the Bible establishes God as the eternal Creator of all things, the one who existed before time began and who brought everything into existence by His Word. It lays the foundation for our faith, proclaiming God’s sovereignty, power, and wisdom.
This truth confronts the modern rejection of God seen in atheism and evolutionary thought, which often places human wisdom above divine authority. Yet, scripture makes it clear that the fool denies God’s existence (Psalm 14:1). God is not only the Creator but also the sustainer and judge of all life. In His image, we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), endowed with intellect, will, and accountability to Him.
The gospel reminds us of our responsibility to obey and live for God. We are called to follow Him and revere our Creator through faith, repentance, and baptism. Ignoring this call leads to eternal separation from God, as 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 warns.
Today, the question is simple: Will you recognize God as your Creator and Savior? Will you obey His Word and submit to His will? The invitation is open—seek Him now while there is time. Choose to live in the light of His presence, for He alone is the foundation of life and eternity.
