Last week in an effort to help elevate Christians out of any slump we may find ourselves in we noted first we would need to “ENERGIZE OUR FAITH”.

This week, from Romans 15:13 we take a look at a couple more factors which will help us climb out of the slumps. “to cherish a desire with anticipation”. So many people, from all walks of life cling to this one factor.

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. Martin Luther King, Jr

We have always held to the hope, the belief, the conviction that there is a better life, a better world, beyond the horizon. Franklin D. Roosevelt

Our hope in God and Christ Jesus can and will raise us up to live life again.

“By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.” 1 John 3:16

John, along with the other writers on the subject of love knew full well, love is not so much something one says or even something one feels. Love, true love is something one does day in and day out.

A man went to his doctor’s appointment and said I have an appointment across town to have lunch with my wife can we hurry this along. The man’s wife had suffered with full Alzheimer’s for 5 years so the doctor asked, “she does not know you why do you continue to go?” The old man replied “Because I know and love her!”
